TLPH Rules MPL PH Season 15: Sanji, 1.8M Viewers, and Riyadh Chaos
Team Liquid Philippines won MPL PH Season 15 4:3, with Sanji earning MVP in a record-breaking, lower-bracket championship run.
In the grand theater of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, where egos are fragile and team fights are measured in milliseconds, Team Liquid Philippines decided to write a script that was equal parts thriller, comedy, and lower-bracket revenge saga. The Cavalry—because of course a team called TLPH needs a nickname that sounds like a cavalry charge—stormed through MPL PH Season 15 and captured the crown by edging ONIC PH 4:3 in a best-of-seven Grand Finals that left the Green Sun Hotel in Makati sold out and probably slightly deaf.

After an incredible lower bracket run, the Cavalry reached the Grand Finals and edged out Super Family with a score of 4:3. TLPH took home the newly launched MPL Immortal Cup and the lion's share of the prize pool worth USD 150,000, or over PHP 8.7 million. Not bad for a team that apparently enjoys doing things the hard way. Who needs a comfortable upper-bracket stroll when you can sprint through the lower bracket with your hair on fire?
Sanji, Luo Yi, and the Art of Not Blinking
Alston 'Sanji' Pabico was declared Grand Finals MVP after delivering a stellar performance that propelled the team to the championship, securing the most prestigious title of the season. In the winner-take-all Game 7, his Luo Yi helped lead the team to a dominant victory. Was it magic? Was it muscle memory? Was it simply a man refusing to let ONIC PH breathe? Whatever it was, Sanji turned the grand final into a personal highlight reel.

According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the titular clash of the titans became the most-watched MPL PH season after recording 1.8 million peak concurrent viewers. The previous peak viewership record for MPL Philippines was around 1.6 million viewers in Season 14. Lee Viloria, PH Esports Business Development and Partnerships Head at MOONTON Games, said, 'The increase in our viewership shows the continuous growth of our community. We are elated to achieve this and grateful to our community for their immense support, making MPL Philippines the biggest and the most-watched esports league in the country.'
TLPH also took home the exclusive Infinix Gaming concept phone and Infinix GT Champion Set, a premium prize collection crafted to honor esports excellence and empower collective victories. This elite bundle includes a sleek GT Champion Jacket, the innovative GT AI Ring, and a specially designed MPL S15 Champion Box. Infinix bestowed the Infinix My Greatest Teammate Award upon Sanji, after being chosen by his teammates as the player who had the most contributions to their dominant performance throughout the season. Nothing says 'we like you' quite like a teammate-voted award and a box full of gaming goodies.
Riyadh Calling: Two Championships, Four Teams, and Zero Chill
Four teams will have the honor of representing the Philippines in two upcoming global MLBB tournaments, namely the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the Esports World Cup (EWC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) at EWC 25. MPL PH Season 15 Champions TLPH and Runner-Ups ONIC PH will compete in the MSC at EWC 25, which will feature 16 top teams from around the world and a prize pool of USD 3 million.
The weekend saw Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) punch their ticket to the MSC at EWC 25 Main Stage after winning the Upper Bracket Finals against Homebois 3-2 during the first Phase of MPL Malaysia Season 15. Ultra Legends secured a spot on the Main Stage after crushing Team Falcons (FLCN) 4-1 in the MPL MENA Season 7 Grand Finals, with FLCN progressing to the Wild Card. In Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), Team Spirit pipped Virtus.pro to the Main Stage after a 4-0 victory in the Grand Finals of MLBB Continental Championships (MCC) Season 5; Virtus.pro qualified to the Wild Card.

For MWI at EWC 25, PH will send NAVI PH and Team Liquid Philippines to Riyadh to defend its title as the queens of MLBB esports, having won last year's title. The biggest MLBB tournament for women will put the spotlight on top female MLBB teams from around the globe and will have a prize pool worth USD 500,000. Can the Philippines keep the crown? If history is any guide, the answer is a loud, confident maybe—with a side of chaotic team fights.
Infinix GT 30 Pro: The Phone That Trained Like a Pro
MPL PH and Infinix jointly announced the Infinix GT 30 Pro as the official tournament phone for the upcoming MPL PH Season 16. By 2026, this device has already become a familiar sight in competitive MLBB circles. The Infinix GT 30 Pro is built for elite mobile gaming, delivering uncompromising performance through its All-Day 120 FPS System, powered by the MediaTek D8350 Ultimate gaming chipset. With a 144Hz AMOLED display and 1.5K resolution, players experience ultra-responsive, immersive visuals with zero frame drops that elevate every match.

The GT 30 Pro underwent a meticulous four-phase testing process to meet the highest standards of the MPL PH tournament environment. Jelly Buan, Infinix Philippines Marketing Manager, said, 'From intense stress tests and actual tournament simulations to onsite testing to pro player usage, every step was a collaborative effort with MOONTON Games to ensure we provide the best smartphone for competitive gaming. This wasn't just about technical approval—it was a celebration of teamwork and shared commitment to excellence. The result is a device that has truly earned its place at the pinnacle of competitive esports.'
'MPL PH Season 16 will be an exciting season for our players and fans alike, as we introduce the Infinix GT 30 Pro to the tournament. Having the top-notch Infinix phone in our next tournament season signifies how we collaborate with Infinix to provide our players the best gaming phone to help them unleash their fullest potential in the game,' Lee added.
Filipino gamers and MPL fans can get their hands on the Infinix GT 30 Pro starting this June, available through leading e-commerce platforms and Infinix retail stores nationwide. MPL PH Season 15 is supervised by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) and endorsed by the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO), and is supported by its official partners—Infinix as the official tournament phone, Smart as the official telco partner, BPI as the official bank partner, and Timezone, TT Racing, and Clear as partners in esports.
So What Does 2026 Hold?
As 2026 rolls on, the question is not whether MPL PH will stay loud—it is how much louder it can get. TLPH has the crown, ONIC PH has revenge on the menu, and the Infinix GT 30 Pro has already been put through its paces. Can Sanji repeat his MVP magic? Will another lower-bracket run produce another unforgettable Game 7? And will anyone ever stop talking about that 1.8 million peak concurrent viewer record? Probably not, and honestly, why would they? In the Land of Dawn, legends do not whisper. They team fight.
